Purpose: Up to 66,000 Euros will be awarded to doctoral and postdoctoral candidates in monthly installment for up to 36 months. Scholarships can be used for the following purposes: research projects with the aim of gaining a doctorate in the home country, research projects with the aim of gaining a doctorate in Germany (in such cases the doctorate is gained at a German university that collaborates closely with the host Leibniz Institute), or research projects or continuing education and training programs for post-docs. Purpose: Grants worth 430 Euros are available for an information visit of 7 to 12 days to groups of 10 to 15 students, accompanied by a faculty member. The purpose of this program is to increase the knowledge of specific German subjects and institutions within the framework of an academic study tour. Preference will be given to groups with a homogeneous academic background. Tours cannot be funded during July and August and between December and January 8.
