Purpose: The grants program offers modest expenses to a scholar to carry out a specific project within a prescribed time period at the American Museum or one of its field stations. Application deadlines are May 1 and November 1, with the exception of vertebrate zoology departments, which has one deadline, November 1. Focus: Earth Science; Geography; Meteorology/Atmospheric Science; Natural Sciences Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

American Museum of Natural History Research Fellowship Program

Purpose: One-time award for advanced studies in vertebrate zoology, invertebrate zoology, paleozoology, anthropology, astrophysics, and earth and planetary sciences. Must have PhD or equivalent.
