Purpose: Awards for college-bound high school seniors who work for Wal-Mart or whose parents are part-time Wal-Mart associates or have not been with the company for one year. Based on ACT or SAT scores, counselor recommendations, transcripts, class rank, activities, and financial need. One-time award of up to $2000. For use at an accredited two- or four-year U.S. institution. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to employees or relatives of employees within the following industries: designated career field. Student must be affiliated with Wal-Mart Foundation.

Purpose: For non-traditional students who have been employed full-time by Wal-Mart for at least a year by February 1. Award is based on financial need, academic record, essay, and job performance. Applications are available from each location personnel office in November. Qualif.: Applicant must be: part-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to employees or relatives of employees within the following industries: designated career field. Student must be affiliated with Wal-Mart Foundation.

For use at an accredited two- or four-year U.S. institution. Must have 2.5 GPA. Applications available only through local Wal-Mart or Sam's Club stores starting in December. Applications are not available from the corporate office. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
