Graduate and Postgraduate Studies and Research in Poland Program

(Postgraduate, University/Grant)

Purpose: Award for graduate students or faculty members for study or research in Poland. Submit research proposal with application.
Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Must submit a letter from adviser, an invitation letter from Polish institution, and complete a physician's certificate. Must have working knowledge of Polish language. Application available for download from September through December. Application fee: $50. Deadline is December 15. Kosciuszko Foundation Chopin Piano Competition

(Four Year College, University/Prize)

Purpose: Three awards for students majoring or planning to major in piano studies who are between the ages of 16-22. Must submit recital program of at least 60-75 minutes. Live audition and $35 fee required. Must be U.S. citizen or full-time international student in the U.S. with valid visa. Focus: Performing Arts Qualif.: Applicant must be: 16-22 years old. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Kosciuszko Foundation Tuition Scholarship

(Four Year College, Postgraduate, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: This scholarship is reserved for U.S. citizens of Polish descent, Poles who are permanent residents in the U.S., and for Americans engaged in study of Polish subjects. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Must submit a personal statement. Application fee: $25. Several one-time scholarships ranging from $1000 to $7000. Massachusetts Federation of Polish Women's Clubs Scholarships

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Nonrenewable award for sophomores, juniors, and seniors attending an accredited four-year college or university. Preference given to MFPWC members and children or grandchildren of members. In the event that no members apply, the scholarship may be awarded to residents of Massachusetts or New England. Submit proof of Polish ancestry. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Application fee $25. Marcella Sembrich Voice Competition

(Undergraduate/Prize)

Purpose: Established to encourage young singers to study the repertoire of Polish composers. Three prizes awarded: first is $1000, second is $750, and third is $500. Open to all singers who are at least 18 years old and preparing for professional careers who are U.S. citizens or international full-time students with a valid student visa. Qualif.: Applicant must be: age 18 or older. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Year Abroad Program in Poland

(Four Year College/Scholarship)

Purpose: Grants for upper-division and graduate students who wish to study in Poland. Must have letters of recommendation, personal statement, and a physical exam. Covers tuition and provides stipend for housing. Application fee: $50. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Restricted to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. Focus: Area/Ethnic Studies; Foreign Language Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
