AAS-National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowships and Mellon Postdoctoral Research Fellowships
(Four Year College, Postgraduate, University/Fellowship)
Purpose: Long-term, postdoctoral fellowships support four to twelve months of residence in the Society's library. These long-term awards are intended for scholars beyond the doctorate, for which senior and mid-career scholars are particularly encouraged to apply. See Web site at

ACLS Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellowships for Recently Tenured Scholars

Purpose: Humanists at institutions in the U.S. and Canada are eligible to apply after they have become tenured. Fellowships provide a year of academic leave with a $65,000 stipend.
