MARTHA GAVRILA SCHOLARSHIP FOR WOMEN

The A.R.F.O.R.A./Martha Gavrila Scholarship for Women is offered to women in post-graduate studies.  It was established in memory of Mrs. Martha Gavrila, long-time president of A.R.F.O.R.A. who worked tirelessly for the Episcopate and Vatra Românească.  The first scholarship was awarded at the 1985 A.R.F.O.R.A. Congress held at St. Mary Church in Chicago, Illinois.

The sum of $1000.00 may be awarded annually to a selected student.

The Lilly Library of Indiana University invites applications for fellowships of up to $40,000 during the academic year in support of research in the library’s Bernardo Mendel collections, as noted below.

President Obama Encourages More Students to Fill Out FAFSA


While the road to a college degree may include countless detours, it’s essential to understand the importance of financial aid and filling out the FAFSA. But don’t just take my word for it – President Obama agrees: Last week, the President announced an initiative that would encourage more students to apply for federal student aid.

FWA Scholarships for Women Studying in the Field of Finance


FWA scholarships encourage leadership and provide opportunity for San Francisco Bay Area women in the field of finance and/or the Financial Services Industry. Affiliation with the Financial Women's Association provides the opportunity to meet potential mentors and network with successful finance professionals while attending both learning and socially oriented functions.

In addition to the financial award, scholarship recipients are honored at an FWA luncheon in August receive a paid one-year Associate-level membership, and are eligible for our mentoring program.
