Mary Rowena Cooper Scholarship Fund
(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Purpose is to provide need-based financial aid for students seeking degrees, certificates, or diplomas at vocational schools, technical schools, community colleges, and universities and colleges. Preference for applicants is: orphaned children of Vietnam vets of any service unit designation and, next, children not orphaned whose parent(s)

served in the military during the Vietnam conflict. The fund has particular interest in, though is not restricted to, assisting students going into medicine, law, engineering and teaching. Application fee is $20. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

(Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: Renewable award for American-Indian residents of Clackamas, Multnomah, or Washington County in Oregon, or of Clark County in Washington. For study of science, computer science, engineering or mathematics. Must submit certification of tribal enrollment or American-Indian ancestry. Preference for those who have demonstrated commitment to the American-Indian community. Focus: Computer Science/Data Processing; Engineering/Technology; Physical Sciences and Math Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to the following races: Native American/Eskimo.

Purpose: Applicant may be either high school graduate (including home-school graduate) or GED recipient. Applicant or applicant's parents/legal guardians must be active members of the Umatilla Electric Cooperative (UEC) and be receiving service from UEC at their primary residence. Married applicants with UEC membership in a spouse's name are eligible. Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: One-time award for members or dependents of Council No. 37 credit union who are active, retired, disabled, or deceased members of teamsters Joint Council No. 37. Members must have been active in local affiliated with Council for at least one year. Must be enrolled at least half-time in college and have cumulative GPA between 2.0 and 3.0.
